Job Summary
Position: General Manager/Chief of Staff
Working Hours: Full-Time Monday - Friday
Search Location: Latin America South Africa and the United States
Salary: 6000 - 7000 USD

About the Role:
This is a senior-level leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations project management and team management for a fast-growing online education company. The General Manager/Chief of Staff will partner closely with the founder to implement the companys strategic vision drive operational excellence and build a high-performing team. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of the business.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage all ongoing projects and initiatives ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met across the organization
- Oversee a team of 9-10 full-time employees and 10 contractors providing coaching performance management and professional development
- Lead the hiring process for new roles including sourcing interviewing and making hiring recommendations
- Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with team members to address concerns provide feedback and support their growth
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the founder analyzing business performance identifying opportunities and recommending data-driven solutions
- Manage the companys tech stack including HubSpot and Slack to drive efficiency and visibility across the organization
- Develop and implement processes and systems to increase accountability transparency and operational excellence
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience in a general management chief of staff or similar senior leadership role preferably in an education SaaS or digital marketing environment
- Proven track record of scaling a growing business building high-performing teams and driving operational improvements
- Excellent project management problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with the capacity to effectively liaise with both internal teams and external partners
- Familiarity with education technology online course creation and digital marketing best practices
- Proficient in using business intelligence tools CRMs (e.g. HubSpot) and project management software
- Bachelors degree required advanced degree preferred
