We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Manager/ Safety and Security Manager to oversee the safety and security operations of our beach resort. The successful candidate will ensure the well-being of guests staff and company assets by developing implementing and enforcing robust security protocols. This role requires leadership vigilance and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
1. Policy and Procedure Development
Develop implement and enforce comprehensive safety and security policies for the resort.
Ensure all procedures comply with Nigerian regulations and international hospitality standards.
2. Staff Management
Recruit train schedule and supervise security personnel.
Monitor staff performance provide guidance and ensure adherence to all security protocols.
Conduct regular briefings and performance evaluations for security team members.
3. Risk Management
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats to the property guests and staff.
Implement preventive measures and strategies to mitigate security risks.
4. Emergency Preparedness
Develop and maintain emergency response procedures for fire medical security and natural disasters.
Conduct regular drills and training exercises for security staff and other resort employees.
5. Surveillance and Patrols
Oversee the operation of CCTV alarms access control and other security systems.
Schedule and conduct regular patrols of the property to deter crime and ensure guest safety.
6. Incident Response and Investigation
Respond promptly to all security incidents emergencies and alarms.
Conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed incident reports.
Recommend corrective actions and follow up to prevent recurrence.
7. External Liaison
Maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement fire services and emergency agencies.
Coordinate with authorities in case of major incidents or emergencies.
8. Training and Awareness
Train resort staff on safety protocols emergency procedures and security awareness.
Promote a culture of safety and vigilance across the resort.
9. Asset Protection
Safeguard resort property assets and guests personal belongings.
Monitor compliance with safety procedures in all operational areas.
10. Guest Relations
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests.
Address and resolve security-related concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
Minimum HND/Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Security Management Hospitality Management or related field.
At least 7 years of security experience with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in hospitality or resort security management.
Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations procedures CCTV and emergency management.
Excellent leadership decision-making communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
Proficiency in computer use and report writing.
Certification in First Aid/CPR and Safety Management is an added advantage.
Knowledge of fire safety systems emergency evacuation protocols and asset protection practices.
Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to enforce rules while maintaining a hospitable guest experience.
