- Serve as the primary point of contact for diverse business stakeholders understanding their needs and translating them into a clear prioritized product backlog for multiple data initiatives.
- Manage the delivery schedule and scope across various data initiatives each with its own budget while effectively balancing the limited capacity of the delivery team.
- Drive product strategy and roadmap making data-driven decisions on feature prioritization to maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Directly lead mentor and manage a team of Business Analysts (1-3 BAs) overseeing requirements gathering documentation and quality assurance activities.
- Work closely with and coordinate the efforts of the Tech Lead (who operates outside the core development team) ensuring alignment between technical architecture and business goals.
- Coordinate and manage the performance-based vendor development team (including Senior Developers) to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of contracted story points (X story points) per sprint.
- Apply strong knowledge of data principles data analysis and business intelligence to define effective data product solutions.
- Leverage proficiency in SQL for data investigation validation and requirements refinement.
- Utilize foundational knowledge of modern data tools specifically Databricks (or similar data engineering/lakehouse platforms) and Power BI (or similar visualization/reporting tools) to guide the team and ensure the correct technology is applied to solve business problems.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Product Owner Product Manager or similar role specifically within data analytics or business intelligence (BI) domains.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Exceptional stakeholder management negotiation and communication skills.
- Solid technical understanding of data concepts data warehousing and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Expertise in SQL is mandatory.
- Basic working knowledge of Databricks and Power BI is required.
- Experience managing external vendors and performance-based contracts is a significant plus.
