University College (UniCol) is the largest residential college in Dunedin and in 2026 we expect to welcome over 500 first-year tauira (students). The role/Te mahi
The College Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the college providing high-level expert administrative support responding to a range of queries and requests.
Tasks are varied but will involve providing pastoral care general administrative tasks recruitment administration and finance tasks such as daily banking and reporting.

We are seeking a passionate team focused administrator who is self-directed professional with excellent organisation and planning skills and able to work to deadlines.
With student needs front of mind you are intuitive able to understand students who may need support and above all you are a resilient caring hands on individual.
Working with people from diverse backgrounds you have outstanding communication and listening skills with strong cultural awareness.
Other important skills and experience include:
Previous experience in an operational administration and/or customer service role.
An ongoing commitment to positive outcomes for students and staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite database management systems such as StarRez and web content management systems with ability to adapt and navigate new systems.
Ability to act in an independent mature confident flexible trustworthy and discreet manner.
Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrated understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Māori Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and Pasifika values.
Experience working in a tertiary institution would be advantageous.

This is a permanent full time (37.5 hours per week) position located in Ōtepoti Dunedin.
You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this role.
The appointment range for this role is $63508 to $68185 top of range $73640.
