About the role:

Clutch is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Finance & Accounting team! You are a highly organized detail-oriented professional with a passion for process excellence and team this role youll oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function ensuring accuracy efficiency and compliance across all vendor payments and expense processes.

Youll play a key role in optimizing workflows implementing best practices and supporting Clutchs fast-paced growth by maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring timely accurate financial reporting.

What youll do:

  • Supervise and mentor the Accounts Payable team providing guidance training and feedback.
  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process including invoice processing approvals and vendor payments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls accounting policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement Operations and Finance teams to resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
  • Manage vendor relationships - addressing inquiries resolving disputes and ensuring timely payment cycles.
  • Monitor and improve accounts payable KPIs (aging payment terms discounts etc) to optimize working capital.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities including accruals reconciliations and audit documentation.
  • Work closely with the Finance & Accounting team on various ad-hoc projects that will improve and maintain the accounts payable function.

Were looking for:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting Finance or Business Administration.
  • 35 years of progressive experience in accounts payable including at least 12 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls related to AP processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and comfort learning new financial systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You can build strong relationships across teams and with external vendors.
  • Exceptional attention to detail accuracy and time management skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset. You are proactive in identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.
  • You are entrepreneurial and a hustler: you do what it takes to get the job done and enjoy working hard.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus.
  • You are comfortable working at our Downtown Toronto office at 60 Adelaide St. E.
