The department of Financial Services at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Student Accounts Analyst.

What youll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Student Accounts the Student Accounts Analyst will provide support for the Student Accounts function including financial analysis and reporting liaising with students and administering University financial policies.

  • Prepares reconciles and reports on student health plan programs.
  • Prepares aged student account balance reports on a regular basis.
  • Assists with student account collections through working with students with financial challenges and preparing and delivering ongoing correspondence with students with outstanding fees.
  • Oversees U-PASS program reconciles related records and makes payments to Metro Transit as required.
  • Oversees the NS University Student Bursary program and Students Union fee collection reporting and analysis.
  • Completes ongoing analysis of student residence billing and reporting.
  • Handles student inquiries and investigates issues requiring resolutions.
  • Acts for the Manager in her absence.
  • Performs other duties from time to time.

What youll need

Qualifications

Candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Business Administration/Commerce with a major in Accounting and have a minimum of three years related experience in financial analysis and customer service. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Effective verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills are essential. A high level of attention to detail and efficient time management and priority setting skills are also prerequisites for this position. Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in excel and use of technology to conduct financial analysis in the most efficient manner. Experience in using business enterprise systems for finance is required. Supporting all of these skills is a strong commitment to excellent customer service.

Classification: Permanent Full-Time NSGEU Level 7 Position
Salary: $47558 per annum Step Progression: $47558 to $56786
Start Date: ASAP
