SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Aftermarket Sales Manager is an integral and important part of Smiths Detection Japan carrying the overall sales responsibilities for specific aftermarket sales.
This position is an individual contributor role and will assume responsibility for the aftermarket sales of Smiths Detections range of security screening systems for specific market verticals.
SPECIFIC DUTIES ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsibilities
- Responsible for meeting aftermarket sales targets & budgets
- Manage key customers to develop and win projects.
- Drive exploration of maintenance contract opportunities and tap profitable business opportunities resulting in increased attach rate.
- Work closely with the Programs team for smooth and profitable completion of Aftermarket Upgrade projects.
- Meet the companys expectation for growth align with Sales strategy plan.
- Build sustainable long-term relationships with key stakeholders including customers distributors and regulators ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Responsible for driving the developing new markets and customers across the region.
- Responsible for managing whole sales processes from initiation project development tender contract installation acceptance and beyond to subsequent sales.
- Manage & report on the pipeline of opportunities in the sales territory.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Aftermarket Sales Manager to this role from time and time and not covered above
Qualifications :
Essential Requirements
- High level of initiative & desire to succeed
- Native level of Japanese ability and business level English ability
- Full commitment of KIP Revenue Order Profit and Cash Collection.
- Ability to understand & sell technical products and pick up technical information quickly.
- Established track record of success in sales preferably in a similar field
- Track record of success in aftermarket sales
- Confident in leading presentations to customers in formal sales presentations
- Experience in selling to government agencies and producing and managing tenders
- Ability to build a strong customer and stakeholder network in Japan.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Ability to travel domestic and overseas.
Required experience
- 5 yrs sales experience with product specifically selling technical equipment solutions is a plus
- Working for multinational company
- Sales experience in manufacturing company and trading company
- Experience in selling in Japan markets: direct and/or through channels.
- High level of initiative & desire to succeed
