Shulman Rogers is seeking a highly organized and professional Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Baltimore office. This multifaceted role combines administrative support for attorneys front desk responsibilities and office management duties.
Primary Duties:
- Draft and proofread legal documents including all types of pleadings and correspondence.
- Manage the engagement letter and conflicts process.
- Handle electronic filing (e-filing) and service of court documents in both state and federal courts in Maryland DC and Virginia.
- Serve as the point of contact for clients guests and vendors.
- Manage general office operations including office events and mail delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5 years of assistant/secretarial or administrative support experience in a commercial litigation department/practice.
- A bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of legal procedures terminology and court rules related to litigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including comfort and skill in speaking with clients.
- E-filing of pleadings in both state and federal courts in Maryland DC and Virginia.
- Proficient in technology Microsoft Office (and in particular expertise in Microsoft Word) and document management software (experience with iManage a plus) and able to effectively use other litigation software.
