Adjunct Medical Assisting Faculty

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Assisting professional to serve as a hands-on part-time instructorin our Medical Assisting program. This role plays a vital part in preparing students for real-world clinical environments by providing practical skills-based instruction and supervision in the lab and classroom settings.

• Prepare syllabus and course materials
• Instruct lectures and/or labs
• Prepare online course material to support instruction
• Keep attendance and grade reports
• Report mid-term and final grades by deadlines

Education

• HS Diploma required.
• 1 year certificate or associates degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required

• Clinical Skills Instruction:
  • Must be able to perform a manual blood pressure within 3 minutes
  • Teach and demonstrate hands-on procedures such as manual vital signs phlebotomy EKGs injections specimen collection and assisting with exams.
  • Guide students through practicing and mastering clinical skills in a simulated lab environment.
• Lab Management:
  • Set up maintain and organize the clinical lab with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure a safe and clean learning environment that aligns with current healthcare standards and infection control protocols.
• Student Assessment & Support:
  • Evaluate student competencies through performance-based assessments.
  • Provide real-time feedback and support to help students improve and build confidence in their technical skills.
• Curriculum & Compliance:
  • Collaborate with program faculty to align hands-on instruction with course objectives and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress attendance and skill check-offs.
• Professional Mentorship:
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism in healthcare settings.
  • Offer guidance on workplace readiness soft skills and job expectations for entry-level Medical Assistants.

Adjunct pay dependent on degree level.
