| Department Description: | The Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at USD is part of the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering (SMSE) which is ranked by U.S. News in the top 15 of non-doctoral engineering schools. The department offers undergraduate degrees in industrial and systems engineering and consists of faculty who are devoted to challenging and inspiring students to learn the technical and professional skills in work analysis quality assurance operations research manufacturing systems engineering simulation facilities production planning and supply chain areas. The mission of the school is to provide graduates with the perspective social awareness and leadership skills necessary for becoming change making engineers. | This is a part-time temporary non benefit-based position with an anticipated end date of May 29 appointment is renewable at the discretion of the University and dependent upon performance and continued funding. The Industrial and Systems Engineering Department is looking to hire one adjunct instructor in the Spring 2026 semester to teach one section of Manufacturing Processes Laboratory (ISYE 350L). The adjunct instructor can use existing course content and lab assignments. More information about the course is below:
