Job Summary
Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an on-site Tier 2 Deskside Support to support the Office of Science under the DOE CBOSS 2.0 contract providing Tier II support to troubleshoot repair deploy and install customer-computing devices peripherals software and associated IT assets. Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine device and software maintenance including updates patches diagnostics and optimization to minimize downtime and ensure peak performance.
- Manage a loaner pool of mobile devices and peripherals (e.g. laptops smartphones tablets projectors etc.) for short-term use.
- Prepare obsolete computers peripherals and software for disposition including secure data removal from hard drives.
- Setup IT equipment and services for meetings.
- Install operate and maintain videoconference systems; provide customer training on use of videoconferencing systems.
- Maintain familiarity of existing and emerging technologies including but not limited to Apple devices (e.g. iPhones iPads Apple desktops and laptops) and other standard and future product suites.
Qualifications
- 3 years related experience
- Must have foundational knowledge in computer hardware software networking concepts and troubleshooting methodologies
- CompTIA A ITIL V4 Foundations or other relevant certifications preferred
