Cessnock LGA attracts a wide-range of development proposals and in this role you will be responsible for assessing development applications which will include large-scale subdivisions wine-based tourism facilities temporary events and significant commercial and industrial development together with working closely with various stakeholders applicants and customers on development related matters.

$106417 - $122380 per annum plus superannuation
To succeed in this role youll hold a Bachelor degree in Town Planning or other relevant equivalent qualification and eligibility for acceptance to the Planning Institute of Australia. Youll bring comprehensive experience in a similar role with strong knowledge of key legislation. Your ability to interpret the Environmental Planning Assessment Act and associated regulations will be key to delivering informed and practical advice.
