A 18-month position as researcher without a PhD is available from January 5th 2026 at Section for Experimental Cancer Therapy Dept. of Oncology Oslo University Hospital (OUS) Radiumhospitalet. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate with an authorization to work as medical doctor in Norway and at least 3 years clinical experience in oncology preferably equivalent to specialist in oncology. OUS is Norways largest hospital conducts a major portion of medical research in Norway and has been accredited by OECI as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. We have a particularly strong research profile within clinical trials for cancer immunotherapy which is the basis for the present project.

Work tasks
The chosen candidate will work on translational studies of cancer immunotherapy aimed at identifying biomarkers for response and mechanisms of therapeutic effect and resistance.
The researcher will be employed at Section for Experimental Cancer Therapy and work at the Clinical Trial Unit and with the Kyte research Group Dept. of Immunology. Main supervisor will be Prof. JA Kyte who is Head of Section for Experimental Cancer Therapy and a research group leader at Dept. of Immunology.
Qualifications
We seek an MD with authorization to work as a doctor in Norway who speaks Norwegian fluently and with at least 3 years clinical experience in oncology. The candidate should be highly motivated and able to work independently and take initiatives. Excellent written and oral communication skills (Norwegian and English) are important. Knowledge in clinical research immunology or statistical analyses will be valuable assets.

- Strong Communication Skills Able to present findings clearly both in writing and verbally.
- You are independent but also enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration
