Job Summary
Geophysicist
Location: Stavanger Oslo or Trondheim.
Period: 05.01.26 - 21.12.26
Description
We are looking for creative and skilled professionals to develop ideas and concepts for offshore exploration and production. Effective and thorough seismic data interpretation and analysis as input to our integrated workflows is becoming an increasingly important part of our work stream to recover more resources.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute geophysical work activities in projects across exploration development and production.
- Support planning and execution of geophysical acquisition and processing.
- Perform seismic AVO quantitative seismic reservoir characterization and monitoring.
- Conduct seismic interpretation prospect definition and evaluation volume and risk assessment.
- Provide and maintain inputs to asset reservoir models.
- Ensure all work tasks and projects are carried out to achieve overall objectives including HSSE technical integrity compliance and cost.
Qualifications & Experience
- MSc/PhD within relevant subjects of geophysics.
- Minimum 7 years of recent relevant experience in exploration and/or reservoir development.
- In-depth knowledge of interpretation and seismic analysis software and workflows.
- Familiarity with modern data science applications.
Personal Skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams.
- Understands how data can be made available interpreted visualized and used as a basis for recommendations and decisions.
- Can organize collaborate and motivate others to reach shared goals.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in English; good knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage.
