Data Center Support Operations Engineers

We are hiring a Data Center Support/ Operations Engineers for one of our clients in Atlanta GA.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform equipment installations compute network storage racks PDUs cabling etc.
• Closely monitor infrastructure to prevent failures and service degradation
• Assist in the diagnosing troubleshooting and escalating any problems internally and externally.
• Work with other Operations teams on troubleshooting and resolution of problems including hardware failures and physical connectivity problems
• Communicate and coordinate with remote hands in remote datacenters
• Maintain impeccable documentation around our datacenter configuration
• Set standards of excellence for all datacenter operations
• Maintain asset inventory both installed and spares
• Perform all shipping and receiving duties including RMA activities
• Maintain clean and orderly premises at all times
• Update and work on tickets and tasks assigned in a timely manner
• Follow change management process
• Participate in off hours change windows

IMPORTANT POINTS

• Go over the assets list - client will check understanding of SFP types and cable types.
• Do His racking and cabling also was not great.
• Do written directions of a typical install we would have.
• Racking a server into the cabinet.

Additional information:

• Atlanta: 5 days office is must
• Work hours -it will be a 8 hour shift in PST hours we will tell you shift time on selection
• Flexible for Rock Star resources
