About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Storage Infrastructure Specialist to optimise and maintain its petabyte-scale Dell PowerScale and Isilon storage environment. This role is critical to ensuring high performance scalability and reliability for media workflows including ingest editing archival and retrieval.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct a technical audit of the current storage architecture identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Develop architecture diagrams and detailed documentation of cluster configuration tiering and data services.
Create operational runbooks for administration troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
Deliver capacity and growth forecasts with actionable recommendations for scalability.
Perform knowledge transfer sessions with ICT staff to ensure operational continuity.
Optimise cluster configuration and data services (SmartPools SnapshotIQ SyncIQ tiering strategies).
Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks across SMB/NFS protocols.
Recommend architectural changes to improve performance utilisation and reliability.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Expertise in Dell PowerScale and Isilon (OneFS 8.x/9.x) for enterprise-scale environments.
Proven ability to design administer and optimise storage for high-performance workflows.
Strong understanding of scale-out NAS architecture storage tiering and data services.
Experience producing technical documentation and operational runbooks.
Excellent communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Troubleshooting skills across multi-protocol storage systems (SMB/NFS).
Knowledge of storage security data protection and lifecycle management principles.
Scripting skills (Python/Bash) for automation and analysis (highly desirable).
