Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Pay Rate: $27/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM 11:30 PM) & 3rd Shift (11:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to support sterile processing operations by ensuring the highest standards of instrument cleanliness functionality and documentation accuracy. This role is essential in maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance. The technician will perform both hands-on processing and detailed quality inspection ensuring all surgical instruments meet or exceed required standards before distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow ANSI/AAMI standards manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company Work Instructions.
Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and approved protocols.
Disassemble clean inspect and reassemble complex surgical instruments.
Assemble and package instrument trays and sets accurately per established guidelines.
Operate washers sterilizers and related processing equipment safely and effectively.
Conduct thorough quality inspections to verify cleanliness functionality and assembly accuracy.
Document and report missing damaged or noncompliant instruments per SOPs.
Maintain precise records of sterilization cycles instrument tracking and inventory management.
Handle all instruments and customer property with utmost care to prevent damage or loss.
Complete daily administrative and computer-based tasks related to processing and tracking.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations decontamination areas and assembly zones.
Perform preventive maintenance and assist with routine equipment checks.
Support adherence to quality assurance infection control and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with internal teams operations staff and leadership.
Identify and recommend improvements to workflow efficiency and quality processes.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain required certifications.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
