Job Summary
MMEDIATE NEED: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $25$27 per hour
Location: On-site Frederick MD
We are hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician immediately to support building operations and critical facility systems. This is a hands-on role requiring strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and the ability to respond quickly to maintenance needs. What This Role Involves
The Facilities Maintenance Technician provides electrical and mechanical support for assigned buildings. Responsibilities span low- and medium-voltage electrical systems HVAC systems and controls mechanical troubleshooting preventive maintenance emergency response general repairs carpentry plumbing and coordination with vendors.
This position requires a valid state drivers license and may include on-call availability for after-hours emergencies.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Perform general interior maintenance (hanging pictures installing keyboard trays repairing office furniture etc.)
Complete special maintenance tasks such as painting locksmith work and tenant service requests
Maintain and replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts
Clean HVAC coils; replace filters and belts
Assist operations teams with building and equipment maintenance and repairs
Perform minor plumbing repairs
Move office furniture machinery equipment and materials as needed
Conduct facility inspections and report as-found conditions
Support emergency maintenance response when required
Physical Requirements
This role is physically demanding and requires:
Frequent walking climbing bending kneeling stooping and overhead work
Lifting up to 80 lbs
Working from heights and using ladders up to 30 ft
Climbing ladders (300-lb weight capacity) while carrying a 20-lb tool bag
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repair
Basic skills in carpentry plumbing and/or electrical systems
Valid state drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a relevant technical or trade training program
