You will be responsible for:
Regional Sales Performance
Accountable for overall sales performance of the assigned region. Ensure each member of the region consistently delivers on his/her territory sales target.
Team Management
Set clear direction guidance and expectations for the region. Prioritize key issues to direct organizations focus and resources accordingly. Set the tone for the region and lead the day-to-day operation of the team. Cultivate a driven and collaborative team culture.
Sales Planning
Lead the development of regional plan in support of national sales objectives. Oversee the translation of regional priorities into specific territory plan of action by MCCs. Ensure plans reflect the area dynamics customer insights and business unit strategy.
Field Execution
Drive field execution with discipline and sense of urgency. Monitor performance indicators and take necessary measures to consistently deliver on business objectives. Effectively and responsibly represent Alexion with external stakeholders as sales team leader for the region.
People Leadership
Provide ongoing and pragmatic coaching for direct reports through regular field visits one-on-one sessions and business reviews. Help elevate team members mindset productivity and capabilities. Support their long-term growth and development.
You will need to have:
10 years of biopharmaceutical sales experience in Japan
Direct people management experience or indirect/peer leadership experience Proven track record of consistently achieving sale targets
Experience launching rare disease and/or specialty products in the field
Highly developed people management and practical coaching skills
Ability to collaborate broadly and cross-functionally
Action orientation learning agility and growth mindset
Comfort with change and ambiguity
Strong engagement communication and relational skills
Passion for making a positive contribution to the rare disease community
Bachelors degree in science or other relevant areas
We would prefer for you to have:
Prior experience and customer relationships in Cardiomyopathy
Prior sales and/or sales management experience in rare disease
Broader commercial experience beyond sales (e.g. marketing sales planning KOL management and/or other relevant commercial functions
