Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane Perth and Adelaide. For this particular role it will be based at our Sydney Campus.
What youd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.
At the moment this role is focused on:
Support the implementation Canvas emergency preparedness and security and safety incident response. Investigate and report on safety and security incidents.
Support in the development and implementation of Canvas campus safety and security policies and procedures. Lead in their maintenance so they remain fit for purpose.
Be the day-to-day contact for our onsite campus teams and security vendors for security and safety matters.
Partner to develop and deliver safety and security training programs for Canvas workforce and campuses including emergency response procedures.
Identify and report on security trends. Support in the administration of our incident reporting system.
Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging trends in safety and security to continuously improve our processes.
Youre probably a match if
You have a background in security operations and risk management ideally across multiple sites (global experience is a plus but not essential).
You have demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining security and safety policies and procedures.
You bring experience in physical security or safety incident management including post-incident reviews and reporting systems with a focus on continuous improvement.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can effectively communicate safety and security information to diverse audiences.
You possess knowledge of relevant safety and security regulations (e.g. AS 3745-2010).
You have experience delivering training or security-themed awareness activities (not required but very helpful)
About the Protective Security Group
The Security Group is responsible for protecting Canvas people spaces systems and data from information and physical security threats. As a converged approach to security our teams work together and with other teams across Canva to prevent detect and respond to physical security risks.
