Your Opportunity
We are currently looking for suitably qualified Technical Specialist to join our CAMO/Engineering department. This position will be situated within the Jetstar CAMO Airbus Fleet Team. You will be responsible for supporting the operation of our fleet and display an ongoing commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Airbus Fleet Technical Manager youll be required to demonstrate extreme ownership of systemic issues prioritise and aggressively implement solutions. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership through collaborating and partnering with other parts of Engineering the airline and external stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing CAMO technical support for Jetstar fleet ensuring safe reliable and compliant management in your field of work
- Demonstrating commitment to CASA and other industry regulatory authorities so that continued airworthiness management and company standards can be sustained by sound process and procedures
- Liaising with CASA Part 21 design organisations to develop and embody design changes to the fleet to support modifications and enhancements ancillary revenue initiatives and fuel conservation projects
- Technically assessing service literature from a large range of regulators and OEMs
- Consulting with Central Maintenance Planners and Heavy Maintenance Planners to ensure all maintenance requests are aligned with the expectations of Jetstar
- Investigating safety critical events and defects in order to find root cause identify mitigation actions and collate sound investigative reports
- Providing technical expertise to the Maintenance Operations Centre and Jetstar Part 145 AMO by providing technical advice documentation and AOG support
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and actively manage all fleet reliability and safety threats
- Acting as the Technical Focal for AOG support on technical issues and provide onsite support as required
- Collaborating with MRO Technical Coordinators to support operational requirements C-Checks and other maintenance visits.
To be successful in this role ideally youll have:
- Qualifications as a Professional engineer (degree) or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
- Proven experience in an airline Technical Services specialising in Avionics System
- Experience in TRAX Maintenance Information System or equivalent MIS
- Strong knowledge of A320 aircraft type
- Ability to communicate & negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of Departmental processes and procedures
- Process driven with experience in constructing new processes to deliver business goals
- Highly motivated with a learning mindset
- Able to build effective working relationships
