Inviting applications for the role of Manager- Network Tools Engineering

We are looking for a Network Tools Team Lead to spearhead the development and operational support of our network tooling this role youll lead a team of engineers responsible for building maintaining and evolving the tools that monitor manage and automate our global network infrastructure.
This is a hands-on leadership positionideal for someone who loves solving complex network problems with elegant tools and thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of network tools engineers and developers.
Own the strategy and roadmap for network tooling focusing on automation observability and operational efficiency.
Drive the design development and integration of tools that support network monitoring telemetry diagnostics and configuration management.
Collaborate with network engineering operations and security teams to identify tooling needs and deliver scalable solutions.
Ensure tools are highly available performant and aligned with best practices in security and reliability.
Establish development standards workflows and documentation practices within the team.
Evaluate and integrate third-party or open-source network tools when appropriate.
Foster a culture of innovation continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications/skills
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant years of experience in network engineering or network tools development with years of experience in a leadership or senior technical role.
Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP BGP OSPF etc.) network architectures and operations.
Experience with network monitoring/management tools such as SNMP NetFlow Prometheus Grafana Nagios etc.
Proficient in scripting and automation (Python Bash Ansible or similar).
Familiarity with CI/CD version control systems (Git) and DevOps practices.
Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code and modern observability practices.
Proficiency in managing Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management.
Experience with LogicMonitor for cloud-based IT monitoring and management.
Hands-on experience with SolarWinds for network performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Experience with cloud networking (AWS GCP Azure) and hybrid environments.
Exposure to SDN RPKI or NetDevOps frameworks.
Contributions to open-source networking projects or tools.
