Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience and with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook Teams).
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education experience and/or certifications may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate or bachelors degree.
- Bilingual/biliterate in a minimum of one target language such as Spanish French Creole Portuguese or other language as needed.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of general policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA Public Records Sunshine Law FERPA and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy public information and records retention.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment materials practices computers and applications.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills; organizational problem solving and management skills.
- Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and handle material by lifting pushing bending or stretching.
- Ability to maintain a supportive and respectful learning environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes nights.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Support classroom instruction by working with small groups or individual students under the direction of an Adult and Career Education teacher.
- Collaborate with teachers counselors and the Adult and Career Education Coordinator to identify and address student needs.
- Assist adult and community school students in completing student registration.
- Administer tests such as the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) test.
- Use the scoring instrument to score tests and record results for placement of students into appropriate programs.
- Track and record student performance data that is required to procure state program funding.
- Provide comprehensive performance and demographic data reports to program data entry clerk as required for local and state reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
