The Research Centre for Exercise Science and Medicine (CESAME) invites applications for a Senior Executive Officer to join its team. The appointee will provide high-level executive support to the Director and Deputy Directors coordinating the Centres day-to-day operations contributing to HKBUs mission of achieving global excellence in sport science exercise medicine and health innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising between centre management and internal and external stakeholders;
- Managing schedules communications documentation meetings and reports for centre management;
- Assisting financial planning budget monitoring staff recruitment and personnel administration;
- Coordinating the preparation of research and partnership proposals progress reports and deliverables for funding agencies;
- Supporting the organising of conferences symposia and community engagement activities;
- Managing website newsletters and social media platforms; and
- Attending to other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess arecognisedbachelors degree (preferably a masters) in administration management or a related disciplinewithat least5 years of relevant work experiencepreferably in higher education research management or project coordination. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following qualities and competencies:
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Proven ability to manage complex administrative functions effectively;
- Excellent organisational communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated leadership problem-solving ability and experience in process improvement;
- Self-motivated adaptability and committed to professional integrity; and
- Enthusiastic about supporting CESAMEs multidisciplinary and international mission.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
