Research Nurse (at the rank of Nurse) in the Clinical Trials Centre(Ref.: 533999)
The Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC) is a leading clinical trials management platform established under The University of Hong Kong LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) and is dedicated to managing and facilitating international-standard clinical trials on new drugs medical devices and medical technologies. HKU-CTCs Phase 1 Clinical Trials Centre (Phase 1 Centre) is a professional clinical trials facility located at the Queen Mary Hospital and dedicated to conducting phase 1 and early phase clinical trials. We are seeking a high calibre talent who have the passion in promoting healthcare advancement through practising clinical research to join our Phase 1 Centre as a Research Nurse.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake clinical trial coordination and operations responsibilities;
- Conduct study planning and management;
- Recruit and screen trial volunteers;
- Perform study procedures data collection and documents management medical emergency management facilities management and quality management;
- Communicate with research teams and internal/external collaborators; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working outside normal business days or hours may be required occasionally.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Nursing;
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong;
- A minimum of 1 years nursing experience is preferred;
- Holder of a Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificate and a venipuncture certificate is an advantage;
- Experience in clinical trial operations and basic knowledge in Good Clinical Practiceare added advantages;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good coordination and problem-solving skills and commitment to quality and compliance;
- Detail-minded able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and self-motivated; and
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
