Enforcement & Market Oversight is responsible for the FCAs responsibilities for market monitoring delivery of the functions of the UK Listing Authority (UKLA) and the investigation and prosecution of misconduct using the whole spectrum of criminal civil and administrative sanctions and remedies against firms and individuals.

Sitting within the Enforcement Intelligence and Specialist Services Directorate the Enforcement Triage Intelligence & Coordination (ETIC) Unit brings together four specialist teams to strengthen the use of intelligence including whistleblowing across the regulatory lifecycle enabling smarter prioritisation and enforcement decisions that deliver impactful outcomes.


Role responsibilities

  • Join a high impact intelligence gateway team at the FCA central to tackling financial crime and shaping the UK financial services sector while earning a market leading salary

  • Drive collaboration across enforcement triage intelligence networks and internal teams to ensure intelligence informs priorities and strategic objectives

  • Represent the FCA in external intelligence sharing forums managing sensitive requests and referrals effectively

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team fostering a culture of coaching professional growth and accountability

  • Influence decision making by engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and providing actionable intelligence products

  • Contribute to departmental strategy and operations ensuring cross-functional alignment and delivering measurable impact for the FCA

  • Operate as a specialist intelligence bureau managing inbound and outbound enquiries providing tactical insights that shape early interventions and deliver impact across the organisation

Skills required

Minimum:

  • Prior experience in leading and uplifting teams confidently managing priorities resources and supporting individual growth

  • Experience in UK criminal investigations and intelligence gathering with a calm and capable approach to complex situations

  • Prior experience in building collaborative stakeholder relationships to enable impactful regulatory or criminal outcomes

Essential:

  • Strategic adaptable leader with proven success in coaching innovation and aligning teams to organisational goals

  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills able to simplify complexity and build trust through collaboration

  • Accredited by NCA POCC as a Financial Intelligence Officer or confident in applying the SARs regime with strong knowledge of financial intelligence systems to tackle economic crime and emerging digital threats

  • Experienced in intelligence operations including project delivery financial intelligence systems and supporting out-of-hours activity when needed
