Job Summary

Job Summary (List Format): Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer

- Provide mobile ultrasound imaging services at various locations including nursing homes home care facilities prisons and processing sites within the Bay Area.
- Operate and maintain portable sonographic equipment; unload transport and set up equipment at each site.
- Perform and process ultrasound exams as ordered by physicians ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images.
- Digitally transmit completed exams to radiologists for interpretation.
- Verify patient identity using two unique identifiers and confirm exam orders match physician requisitions before performing exams.
- Document and scan required paperwork and billing daily according to company protocol.
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch call centers clients peers and supervisors.
- Respond quickly to urgent communications (within 15 minutes) and attend company meetings as required.
- Adhere to company policies regarding dress code equipment care professionalism ethics and code of conduct.
- Comply with health and safety requirements including annual physical exams TB screening and infection control training.
- Organize daily workload via self-dispatching system or dispatcher; check for new cases and voicemails every 30 minutes as necessary.
- Do not assist with patient transfers or support; facility staff will handle these tasks.
- Train new technologists as needed.
- Drive company vehicle to service a wide geographical area maintaining a valid drivers license and safe driving record.
- Maintain and report on vehicle and equipment condition; notify supervisor of any malfunctions.
- Demonstrate self-motivation dependability and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Complete and pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Possess strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills; exhibit a pleasant phone manner.
- Perform basic computer and smartphone tasks (printing scanning emailing).
- Lift and maneuver equipment bags (up to 20 lbs) and pull carts as needed.
- Meet certification and licensure requirements (ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound valid drivers license graduate of accredited ultrasound program).
- Maintain COVID-19 vaccination status or provide exemption documentation.

Physical and Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 20 lbs) walk distances with equipment and meet physical demands of the job.
- Flexibility to travel long distances within assigned region.

Required Certifications:
- Registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound (Echo/Vascular required; General preferred)
- Valid drivers license
