Who are you

You are a caring and dedicated professional who has a passion for prevention programming and making a difference in your local community. This grant funded position supports administrative and grant tasksas well as delivering prevention programming for children adolescents parents and families. You thrive in the ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment - you will assist the Prevention Supervisor with staff supervision tasks including daily oversight payroll evaluations; plan and implement designated mental health alcohol/drug and early childhood community services.
Oversee the delivery of services and direct the day to day operations of all the prevention education and consultation programs and services. Assist with staff training and department supervision administration and oversight and arrange coverage of direct service staff.

Under the guidance of the Prevention Supervisor you will conduct and supervise prevention education sessions workshops and community outreach activities. Facilitate educational groups and provide community consultation and educational services that would touch on topics that include but are not limited to early childhood mental health mental health wellness mental illness parenting skills and substance abuse prevention. Oversee expenditures of milestones and connections funds and funds awarded to the Parent Advisory Committee. Facilitate identifying a school to seek the Purple Star designation and a school to implement a curriculum on brain development. Develop the caring backpacks for youth in transition with other child serving systems services.

Conduct regular communication with stakeholders and partners to ensure satisfaction with Family Resource Center (FRC) services and partner success in elements related to programming including the development of an agency library in collaboration with Sesame Street Foundation. Facilitates stakeholder meetings case consultations and reports on projects success and challenges to key stakeholders including the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health. Actively participate on relevant community taskforces/committees and presents community training programs in-service training programs and consultation. Participate in data collection initiatives as assigned to ensure efficacy and efficiency of programming.

You have:

  • Associates degree or higher in social/human services related field
  • OCPS (Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist) or working towards professional certification
  • A valid drivers license and the ability to maintain auto insurance
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one
  • The ability to regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office our HRIS EHR and other online systems with multiple logins often simultaneously.
  • Willingness to submit background check and fingerprinting
