Downer NZ is a leading provider of integrated services and our Asphalt team in Auckland is no exception. Were looking for a motivated and experienced Asphalt Plant Foreman to lead the day-to-day operations of our asphalt bitumen and emulsion facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where safety quality and efficiency are key.

In this role you will:

Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt plant and associated equipment
Ensure consistent product quality and availability to meet customer needs
Lead and support your shift team allocating tasks and promoting a positive culture
Maintain accurate production records and contribute to continuous improvement

Were looking for someone with:

Proven experience in asphalt plant operations
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Mechanical experience would be an advantage but not essential
A commitment to safety health and environmental standards
Analytical Thinker able to identify and maximise improvement opportunities
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Computer literacy and a customer focused can-do attitude
