Outside Plant Designer

The opportunity

• Great opportunity for an Outside Plant Designer various locations available within NZ. Reporting into the Design Team Lead the Outside Plant Designer will apply knowledge of telecommunications network systems and practices to scope and design competitive solutions to client needs predominantly on the Chorus network.

What youll do

• The production of designs which satisfy in a timely way all internal and external customer requirements

• Gather subcontractor quote based on design provided

• All tender costs are compiled on an approved pricing model and peer review process followed

• Ensure designs are technically compliant and meet client requirements

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to build rapport and foster relationships to understand their specific requirements

• The ability to apply technical knowledge to the design and quoting process

• Extensive knowledge of fibre optic networks to allow design and pricing

• A sound understanding of the financial requirements of the quoting design and project management processes

• Skilled in relevant Client Software Systems (SmallWorld GIS)MS Office Suite and Visio

• Theability towork wellwithinateamas wellasonsole-chargework

• Well-developed organisational skills including written and oral communication
