About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatch Head / Dispatch Officer to manage the end-to-end dispatch operations of our Ice Cream Plant at Kathua. The role involves ensuring timely accurate and temperature-controlled movement of finished goods to distribution centers while maintaining high standards of documentation compliance and operational efficiency.
This position is critical to ensure smooth coordination between Production Cold Store Sales and Logistics supporting uninterrupted supply during high-demand seasons.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule daily dispatches based on production and sales requirements.
Ensure strict adherence to cold chain protocols during product loading storage and transportation.
Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement route planning and timely deliveries.
Prepare and verify dispatch-related documents (invoices e-way bills gate passes transport challans etc.).
Track shipments and ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance.
Maintain daily FG stock reconciliation and SAP/ERP entries.
Monitor and control logistics costs and vehicle turnaround time.
Supervise dispatch team and ensure safety hygiene and discipline during dispatch operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Graduate / Postgraduate in Logistics Supply Chain Commerce or Operations.
(Diploma in Materials Management or Cold Chain Logistics preferred.)
Experience: 510 years in dispatch/logistics operations within FMCG / Dairy / Ice Cream / Food Industry.
Technical Skills:
SAP / ERP and MS Excel proficiency.
Knowledge of temperature-controlled logistics (cold chain).
Strong coordination documentation and planning skills.
Key Competencies
Excellent communication and coordination ability.
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to manage labour vehicles and multiple stakeholders under time pressure.
Commitment to safety quality and process discipline.
