Job Summary
Job Description:-
1. New Product Development (NPD) Support Collaborate closely with R&D Marketing Packaging Development and Operations teams to understand NPD briefs and technical requirements. Identify and source raw materials fragrances actives excipients and packaging components required for new product launches. Drive feasibility checks cost benchmarking and alternative sourcing for NPD projects. Work with vendors to develop prototypes lab samples artworks and ensure technical compliance.
2. Vendor Identification & Development Identify and onboard new vendors for: Fragrance compounds Cosmetic-grade ingredients Aerosol components Primary & secondary packaging Contract manufacturers (3rd-party finished goods) Evaluate vendor capabilities infrastructure certifications (ISO GMP FDA etc.) and their ability to meet Yardley quality and service standards. Conduct vendor audits in coordination with Quality Assurance.
3. Cost Management & Negotiation Ensure competitive pricing through benchmarking multi-sourcing and value engineering. Negotiate commercial terms MOQs lead times and long-term supply agreements. Maintain cost sheets should-cost models and regularly review cost-saving opportunities.
4. Supplier Relationship Management Build strong collaborative relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and reliability. Review vendor performance on quality delivery responsiveness and cost. Resolve supply issues rejections and quality deviations in coordination with QA and Operations..
5. Procurement Operations Ensure timely PO issuance procurement planning and alignment with production schedules. Monitor market trends commodity prices and supply risks impacting fragrance and personal care categories. Ensure full compliance with regulatory safety quality and ethical sourcing standards. Key Skills & Competencies:- Strong knowledge of fragrance components cosmetic ingredients packaging materials and personal care manufacturing processes. Deep understanding of vendor ecosystems for contract manufacturing and finished goods procurement. Excellent negotiation costing and analytical skills. Ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive timely NPD execution. Strong documentation communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification & Experience:- Bachelors degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Cosmetics Technology or Supply Chain. MBA in Supply Chain or Operations (preferred). 5-10 years of experience in sourcing/procurement within fragrances personal care beauty FMCG or related industries. Experience in vendor development 3P manufacturing setups and NPD sourcing is terms of background if the candidate has handled Perfume Manufacturing would be preferred and would need to be well connecting to 3P manufacturer network.
