Sourcing Manager Indirect (MRO Facility Management HR & Marketing)

Location: Wrocław

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sourcing Manager Indirect to lead and optimize our sourcing activities across critical indirect categories including MRO (Maintenance Repair & Operations) Facility Management HR Services and Marketing & Communication primarily within the EMEA region.

This role requires a self-driven professional with exceptional stakeholder management capabilities strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and execute category strategies that deliver measurable value to the organization.

As Sourcing Manager Indirect you will work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies. You will be responsible for developing category strategies leading complex negotiations managing supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support DeLavals operational excellence and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for Maintenance Repair & Operations Facility Management HR Services and Marketing & Communication aligned with DeLavals business objectives
  • Conduct thorough market analysis spend analysis and supplier landscape assessments to identify opportunities for cost optimization risk mitigation and value creation
  • Define and execute sourcing roadmaps with clear milestones KPIs and performance metrics for each category
  • Monitor category performance and market trends adjusting strategies proactively to respond to changing business needs and market conditions

Supplier Management & Negotiations

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing processes including RFx (RFI RFP RFQ) supplier evaluation selection and contract negotiations for assigned categories
  • Negotiate complex contracts and framework agreements ensuring favorable terms conditions pricing structures and SLA commitments
  • Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships conducting regular business reviews and performance assessments
  • Drive supplier development initiatives and collaborate with suppliers on innovation sustainability and continuous improvement programs
  • Manage supplier risk through diversification strategies contract compliance monitoring and contingency planning

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across EMEA including Operations Facilities HR Marketing Finance and IT functions
  • Act as trusted advisor to business partners understanding their requirements and securing them in the contracts
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and stakeholder buy-in especially by strategy creation
  • Communicate category strategies initiatives and results effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Follow the stakeholders purchase compliance via verification of P2P process in SAP ARIBA

Cost savings

  • Deliver annual cost savings and cost avoidance targets for assigned categories
  • Develop detailed spend analytics and reporting using advanced Excel techniques and procurement tools
  • Track and report on category KPIs including savings realization contract compliance supplier performance and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Support budget planning processes and provide accurate forecasts for category spend
  • Identify and quantify value creation opportunities beyond cost reduction (e.g. process efficiency quality improvement risk mitigation)

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Drive standardization and process optimization across EMEA to increase efficiency and reduce complexity
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies legal requirements and regulatory standards
  • Implement and promote best practices in indirect procurement across the organization
  • Support digitalization initiatives and leverage e-procurement tools and systems

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Economics Engineering or related field;
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or category management with focus on indirect categories
  • Proven track record in managing MRO Facility Management HR Services and/or Marketing & Communication categories
  • Experience working in international matrix organizations with responsibility across multiple countries preferably in EMEA region
  • Demonstrated success in developing category strategies and delivering measurable cost savings and value creation

  • Resilience and adaptability to navigate ambiguity and changing environments

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas pivot tables data analysis VLOOKUP/Pivot tables and data visualization
  • Experience with spend analysis tools and data analytics platforms is highly desirable

Language Requirements

  • Fluent English (professional working proficiency) - Mandatory
