Are you passionate about bringing people together and supporting thriving communities bpha is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Community Engagement Regeneration Officer to play a key role in the regeneration of Greyfriars Bedford and other development projects.

As Community Engagement Regeneration Officer you will be

  • Delivering community engagement for regeneration projects with a focus on Greyfriars Bedford.

  • Bringing people together to address important local issues and co-create regeneration proposals.

  • Engaging and consulting with residents internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Gathering and sharing community and stakeholder views to influence positive change.

  • Organising and representing bpha at public events liaising with political stakeholders local authorities and partner agencies.

  • Supporting customers through the regeneration process including helping with moves to new homes.

  • Maintaining accurate records of all engagement activity.

  • Working flexibly including some evenings and weekends (with flexi-time arrangements).

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and earn trust at all levels.

  • Creative approach to problem-solving and project delivery.

  • Good organisation planning and project management skills.

  • Experience in community engagement regeneration or social housing (desirable).

  • Ability to work with diverse communities including those experiencing social or economic disadvantage.

  • Physically fit and able to meet the operational demands of the role.

  • Patience perseverance and a positive motivated attitude.

Additional Information

  • This is a remote working position (home based) with regular travel to Greyfriars/and or the office or other locations with a flexible approach where you can cover other areas

  • Must be able to drive and have the use of the car for work

  • Happy to work evenings and weekends if necessary to attend events and meetings.
