DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the successful operation and direct management of the Facilities Department to include but not limited to Maintenance and Grounds.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Two to four years experience in managing the functions and activities of a multi-functional hotel casino hospital or relative facility.
- Experience with work order management systems (i.e. Maximo Hot Sauce etc.) is preferred. Versed in Microsoft office and related programs (Excel word Teams etc.).
- Must possess excellent communication skills problem-solving able to direct and motivate employees handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple assignments quickly evaluate options and make decisions which positively influence short and long-term business objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the direct management of the Facilities Department.
Assists with developing and managing the Facilities & Maintenance Budget.
Responsible for coordinating with other departments on special projects for completion in a timely and professional manner.
Responsible for planning implementing procedures processes employee training monitoring FTEs actual headcount and overtime.
Delegates duties and assigns responsibilities.
Meet with directors and managers as necessary.
Responsible for hiring and development of Facilities Supervisors Facilities Technicians Mechanic Carpenter Groundskeeper and HVAC Mechanic.
Prepares and coordinates the periodical performance reviews of assigned personnel.
- Must be able to drive.
- Acts as liaison between Caesars and 3rd party vendors.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of applicable EPA OSHA and ADA regulations and building codes.
- Knowledge of applicable HVAC alarm and sewage systems.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints schematics and write technical and simple instructions.
- Timeliness and accuracy in performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs ability to manage and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
- A broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule in an interruptive environment.
DEMANDS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
PHYSICAL & MENTAL:
Must be able to sit stand or walk for prolonged periods of time bend reach kneel twist and grip items as well as manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds.
Responds to visual and aural cues.
Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke dust fumes loud noises and bright lights. May include boat and/or floating barge high rise hotel and atrium.
Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
Must be able to operate all types of hand tools and power tools.
Must be able to operate a forklift and man lift (both scissor/boom).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $80000 to $90000
