As part of the ESA team you will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide support to Projects deploying and implementing MBSE and digital engineering solutions;
- Support the proposal development pilot and evaluation of methods and tools for MBSE and digital engineering;
- Assist in identifying and responding to tools and infrastructure development/maintenance needs for digital engineering activities in support to Programmes and Projects;
- Aid in infusing digital engineering and MBSE solutions in tools and models for systems and concurrent engineering;
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of the ESA technology strategy and supporting the definition of R&D work plans;
- Facilitate the promotion coordination follow-up and selection of technology activities enhancing digital engineering and MBSE;
- Support the definition initiation and management of R&D activities under ESAs technology programmes;
- Monitor scientific and technological trends for systems and digital engineering including MBSE and maintaining corresponding state-of-the-art expertise;
- Contribute to the improvement of standardisation in systems engineering and MBSE via ESA internal processes and lessons learned and by liaising with the ECSS Authority;
- Contribute to the promotion of concurrent collaborative and model-based systems engineering across the Agency and its partners;
- Contribute to the capture and dissemination of knowledge and lessons learned across the Agency.
Qualifications :
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Masters degree in Systems Engineering or similar field;
- Minimum of 4 years experience with Concurrent Engineering methodology tools and applications;
- Knowledge of the space systems domains including Mission Analysis;
- Knowledge of digitalisation data-driven engineering methods and MBSE tools;
- Technical Authoring and Documentation Management including preparation editing and quality control of technical reports project documentation and web-based content;
- Production and Maintenance of Communication Material including websites multimedia content graphics and knowledge dissemination tools;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
