We provide a unique two-to-three-year program for young people in Years 10 to 12 designed to progressively develop employability skills and achieve individualized learning goals while meeting the requirements of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

Our aim is to seamlessly blend senior education and vocational training to engage young people in purposeful learning experiences that are relevant to the real world of industry.



Description

About the role

The key new HR Business Partner role provides strategic and operational support across schools and head office functions to enable a compliant high-performance values-aligned culture. Guided by the Head of People your role will be to provide a high-leverage centre of excellence turning strategy into usable playbooks supporting People Leaders to act with clarity and providing crisp reporting for smarter decisions.

This role will see you standardising enabling and safeguarding escalating complex issues for executive direction to keep outcomes compliant consistent and quick. Leadership and management own the execution of the people strategy and your support will ensure its effective delivery.

Hybrid Brisbane Head Office based role supporting the organisation as it expands nationally.

Skills And Experiences

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and experience:

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management Industrial Relations Business or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years experience in human resources advisory or generalist area.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law award interpretation and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing recruitment performance ER/IR issues and HR policy development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in HR systems Microsoft Office Suite and data reporting.
  • Ability to demonstrate The Industry School values.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Valid driver licence.
  • Right to work in Australia.

Desirable

  • Experience in liaising and working with Unions Workcover & the Fair Work Commission to deliver positive business and employee outcomes.
  • Experience with EBA negotiation.
  • Skill and experience in administering HR strategies in complex and diverse organisations.
  • Experience working in a school or educational settings.
  • Familiarity with child protection and staff compliance requirements in schools.
  • Exposure to enterprise bargaining and workforce planning in a unionised environment.
