Job Summary
Senior Technical Accountant - Lease and Capitalization
Our client a Global Leading Fortune 500 Corporation is looking for a Detail oriented Sr. Technical Accountant with specialization in Real Estate and Lease to join a dynamic team in is a newly created position that will support a consolidated Technical accounting team and will manage the lease accounting process for a portfolio with focus on ASC 842.
What Youll Do:
- Manage and oversee thelease accounting process for a portfolio of assetsto ensure compliance with ASC 842.
- Prepare nd review technical accounting memos and documentation related to lease agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like M&A FinanceTreasury and the Controllers teamto support financial reporting and analysis.
- Work with Auditors as a primary point of contact for requests.
- Prepare and maintainaccurate financial records related to leasing arrangements.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and advise stakeholders on lease accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Ideal Candidate:
- CPA or in-process.
- 3 years of relevant experience in Tax Audit or Technical Accounting with focus on Real Estate/REIT/MFG/CPG client or similar SEC corporation.
- Exposure to ASC 842 and GAAP.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage schedules efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
