Requirements
Must-Haves:
CPA or Tax Attorney license
37 years of experience with a strong foundation in tax return preparation and review
Interest and capability in tax strategy IRS representation and client-facing advisory
Strong communication skills must be comfortable explaining complex tax strategies clearly to clients
Proven ability to review tax returns handle tax planning engagements and support IRS notices/calls
Open to learning evolving with internal systems and participating in process improvement
Key Responsibilities:
Review client tax returns for accuracy and planning opportunities
Design and implement proactive tax strategies tailored to small businesses real estate investors and high-income individuals
Lead IRS-related communications and client representation during audits or disputes
Collaborate with the internal team to ensure planning is aligned with compliance and bookkeeping
Regularly meet with clients to present strategy explain rationale and answer questions
Identify mid-year opportunities for adjustments and ensure timely delivery of planning deliverables
Stay up to date on evolving tax law especially within the small business and real estate sectors
Provide thoughtful feedback to improve internal planning systems and workflows

Required Skills:
Required Qualifications 3 years of experience in bookkeeping accounting or financial record management. Proficiency in QuickBooks bank reconciliation and financial reporting. Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP). Experience handling accounts payable accounts receivable and journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables formulas) and Google Sheets. Strong analytical problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
