Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Payroll tax processes across monthly quarterly and year-end cycles.
- Prepare and file monthly quarterly and annual payroll taxes for federal provincial and local jurisdictions.
- Investigate and resolve payroll tax discrepancies penalties and agency notices.
- Verify data for accuracy to ensure compliance with laws regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess payroll tax impacts to maintain compliance.
- Provide guidance to the payroll processor regarding payroll runs.
- Prepare vacation liability reports for Canada sites.
- Coordinate vacation payouts.
- Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
Qualifications :
- HS Diploma at a minimum.
- Minimum of 2 years Payroll tax experience
- Strong Knowledge of Canadian and US payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
- PCP or PLP certification
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in auditing techniques and advanced payroll compliance knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- SAP Experience
