Job Summary

Summary

Gain practical work experience through managing the operations of the Office of Health and Wellness. Oversee all other undergraduate student employees and reports to the Director of the Office of Health and Wellness.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee operation of the Office of Health and Wellness
  • Represent the professional staff in their absence
  • Act as a liaison between professional staff and student employees
  • Monitor student employees and report on their performance including tracking certifications and requirements
  • Create and maintain a working schedule for the Office of Health and Wellness Attendants
  • Conduct staff meetings and training sessions
  • Participate in student disciplinary meetings
  • Work scheduled office hours
  • Maintain the peer education kits (monitoring the schedule of presentations refilling as needed gathering and summarizing evaluations etc)
  • Serve an integral role in the student hiring process
  • Represent functional unit on the Student Employee Board (SEB)
  • Retain confidential material
  • Act as First Responder to accidents and incidents
  • Attend all Student Development and Leadership sessions and Student Employee Board meetings
  • Meet with supervisor regularly
  • Perform functions of other employees in their absence
  • Work special events outside of normal hours of operation as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess and maintain current CPR First Aid and AED certifications
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication professional mannerisms and a friendly demeanor
  • Work independently and in a team
  • Proven superior level of interpersonal skills
