Monday to Friday with a half day on Wednesday 36 hrs per week
As an Administrator / Receptionist you will play a crucial role in supporting our team by providing administrative reception and office support functions to the team to ensure the smooth running of the village.
The Administrator / Receptionist is part of a wider team including maintenance gardening and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Village Manager with administrative requirements including inductions recruitment training and payroll assistance.
- Assisting the Village Manager and with administrative requirements for audit purposes.
- Attending to all reception duties including telephone calls in a warm friendly and professional manner delivering appropriate level of customer service.
- Greet and acknowledge anyone who passes the reception.
- Sorting documents mail & parcels and delivering items to appropriate individuals within the village.
- Ensure the reception area is presented well and always tidy and clean.
- Assist with production of communication to residents and staff in the appropriate mediums. This may also include coordination of regular newsletters.

Strength and competence in a similar role. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong administration background with the ability to pick up and learn new things quickly
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- An excellent work ethic and ability to contribute to the existing team
- Preference to having worked in a Retirement Village/Aged care setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with roster management desired
- Current full NZ drivers license
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
