Job Summary (List Format):
- Provide nursing care in a 10-bed ER Overflow Observation Unit with a focus on rapid admission reassessment and discharge of patients.
- Patient ratios: 1:6 at night 1:5 during the day.
- Frequent patient turnover; must consistently assess readiness for discharge.
- Float to other Med Surg units as needed typically once per week.
- Other Med Surg units have a patient ratio of 1:5 6 at night; may flex to 8 patients with LPN support.
- Care for a diverse population of medical patients.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including RNs LPNs and Techs.
- Work every other weekend; no holiday time off requests (may discuss with manager for special circumstances).
- Block scheduling not guaranteed or approved.
- Must have a current Michigan RN license and BLS (AHA) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.
- Willingness to adapt to varying team compositions and float to different units as needed.
- Travel nursing experience required.
