We have an exciting opportunity for aCriminal JusticeRecovery Coordinatorwho has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time in a way that best meets their needs. With this role youll be working as part of our Criminal Justice team based in Dagenham.

The post holder will work as part of the service developing pathways between Criminal Justice Agencies both in the community and within the prison service in order to support seamless continuity of care.

As part of the post holder you will be expected to work with their team to support service users subject to court orders such as ATR RAR DRR and prescribed clients released from custody.

Location: Dagenham
Full Time Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Full Time Salary: 27861.26 - 32002.35 (Pro rata for part time hours dependent on experience)
Additional Allowance: Inner London Weighting 4133.14 (pro rata for part time hours)

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months from start date

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Role Overview:

You will work across various Criminal Justice settings based on service needs including courts probation offices and prisons. Responsibilities include completing assessments managing the prison release process supporting individuals on probation liaising with courts and facilitating voluntary referrals from the police. You may also be involved in group facilitation.

Your specific functions and areas within Criminal Justice will be assigned according to service requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills and careful attention to detail in data recording.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver psychosocial interventions to reduce disengagement reduce harm and associated criminality.
• Providing screening assessment and recovery planning and onward referral
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
• Promoting carer service user and community involvement
• Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
• Working with service users to support social (re)integration enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery resilience peer support and self-determination

What we are looking for:

• The ability to obtain and maintain MOJ vetting.
• Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
• Be an excellent communicator both verbal and written with good IT skills
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
• Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions services and good practice
• Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals agencies and internal/external stakeholders
• Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
• Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
• Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
