BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic results driven individual to join as Maintenance Engineer at our new production plant in Viana Portugal.


Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and supervise preventive corrective and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Propose effective technical solutions.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and execution schedules.
  • Promote the technical development of the team through training and continuous support.
  • Monitor maintenance performance indicators and prepare technical reports.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Promote continuous improvement of processes and reduction of operational costs.
  • Participate in equipment validation (mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems).
  • Participate in process standardization (HMI PLC programs Robot programs).
  • Comply with environmental health and safety quality and productivity standards
  • Comply with the organizations rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics Practice and Schedule
  • Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
  • Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
  • Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired when the needs or convenience of the service justify it for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors or Mastersdegree in mechanical electrical or mechatronics engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be valued
  • Experience in coordinating technical teams.
  • Knowledge of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management tools (e.g. SAP).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC UA ICP-CFX).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and industrial standards.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced knowledge of TIA Portal ABB and KUKA Robot.
  • Technical drawing skills (valued)
  • Knowledge of EPLAN (valued)
  • Availability to travel
  • Fluent in English (preferable)
