FINANCE OFFICER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Accra
Industry: Manufacturing/Insurance/Automobile/FMCG
Scope
The Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting budgeting as well as providing financial analysis and management support to drive business growth and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management to inform business decisions.
- Manage and maintain financial systems ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing controls where necessary.
- Collaborate with management to implement audit recommendations.
- Assist in bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Help maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting and finance principles.
- Assist in preparing tax filings and supporting documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from management and vendors regarding financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurately reflected in business decisions.
Requirements
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or any related field of study.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or its equivalent.
- A good working knowledge of major accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage).
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suites specifically Microsoft Excel.
