We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Technical Officer Microbiologist to join our Quality team in Lidcombe and make their mark on our brewing journey. This is a permanent full-time opportunity.
What Youll Be Doing:
As a key player in our Brewing Quality Team youll:
- Microbiological Sampling: Apply aseptic sampling techniques to collect samples through various stages of production including raw materials in-process tanks and finished products.
- Microbiological Testing and reporting: Perform testing and reporting to maintain our rigorous quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Support problem-solving initiatives from root cause analysis to implementing sustainable solutions.
- Equipment Management: Maintaining equipment in the micro lab performing calibrations and troubleshooting when required. Youll work with external service providers and suppliers ensuring everything is fit for purpose.
- New Product Development: Assist in trials and approvals to bring innovative products to market.
What Youll Bring:
- Degree in microbiology food technology biological sciences or a related field.
- Attention to detail
- Strong problem solving with solution-focused mindset
- Proactive mentality and strive for continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of the team
- Experience within FMCG would be highly regarded but not essential
