About the Role
Were seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic team. Youll play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of plastic blow moulding equipment and robotic packaging automation systems. This is a hands-on role with scope for development and involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and attend to mechanical breakdowns
- Work independently and collaboratively to support production goals
- Use MEX Work Orders to scope execute and close out maintenance tasks
- Partner with Electrical Trades personnel when required
- Support production teams to ensure smooth operations
- Contribute to safety quality and productivity improvements
- Assist with spare parts inventory management
- Apply fault-finding and diagnostic skills to resolve mechanical issues
- Maintain a strong safety-first mindset in all tasks
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to improve machine availability
- Maximise labour efficiency and promote safe working practices
Qualifications :
About You
To succeed in this role youll bring:
- Trade qualification as a Fitter or equivalent
- Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety
