The Elementary Bus Monitor works closely with the Program Director Transportation Coordinator and bus driver to ensure safe transportation for all students.
Performance Resposibilites:
1. Establish rapport and respectful trusting relationships with students parents and caregivers acting as a role model and maintining high expectations.
2. Ensure student safety and adherence to transportation policies and practices.
3. Implement and maintain good student bus behavior and conduct.
4. Works closely and collaboratively with the Program Director Transportation Coordinator and other bus monitors.
5. Ability to take attendance on a daily basis.
Job Qualifications:
1. Must have experience working with school age children and their families.
2. Must be able to board and exit the bus in the Boston area.
3. Must have a high school diploma.
4. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students staff administration and parent/caregivers in the community.
