About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester to joina well-established Test Centre ofExcellence (TCE) responsible for delivering high-qualitytesting services across multiple business role focuses on automating testprocesses ensuring testing consistency and driving continuousimprovement in test strategy execution and quality assurance.
You will play a key part in designingdeveloping and maintaining automatedtest scripts while mentoring other team members andcontributing to the evolution of automation best practices.
Main Responsibilities
AutomationStrategy & Planning
Define and implement the automation testing strategy within each project.
Estimate budgets timeframes and ROI forautomation initiatives.
Conduct Proofof Concept (POC) exercises to assess automation feasibility forvarious applications.
Plan and manage the rollout of automated testing pipelines.
Automation Development & Execution
Develop maintain and execute automated test scriptsusing KarateJavaand Gherkin/Cucumber.
Perform API testing using Postman and JSON.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/ GitLab CI).
Set up and maintain test environments using Docker and Kubernetes forreproducibility and scalability.
Debug and optimize automated test frameworks forbetter performance and ROI.
Document results and provide reports for Go/No-Go decisions.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
Participate in 3 Amigos sessions(collaboration between developers testers and business analysts).
Work closely with business and technical teamsto ensure accurate translation of requirements into automated scenarios.
Train developers and junior testers onautomation tools and frameworks.
Promote continuous learning and keep up-to-datewith industry best practices.
Governance & Quality Assurance
Adhere to departmental testing methodologies and procedures.
Identify and mitigate risks related to delaysdefects and test quality.
Contribute to overall process improvement andmaintain alignment with organizationalstandards.
Mandatory TechnicalRequirements
To be considered your CV must clearlyinclude the following:
Degree in InformaticsComputer Scienceor a related field;
At least 2years of experience in Test Automation;
Proven expertise with:
o Karate testing framework (minimum 2years)
o Gherkin / Cucumber syntax
o Java Maven Jenkins and IntelliJ
o Postman JSON
Experience creating and managing Docker images and CI/CD pipelines;
Understanding of testing methodologies andprinciples (ISTQB vocabulary);
Familiarity with ALM Octane or equivalenttest management tools;
Proven ability to identify and mitigate testing risks.
Nice to Have
Additional skills thatwill be a plus:
SQL knowledge for data validation;
Experience with UFT and Selenium;
Background in insurance or financial applicationstesting.
